The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, in partnership with Signature Healthcare, is hosting a conference for health care professionals on child trafficking and exploitation. We will be providing key resources and information on how hospitals and health care systems can combat human trafficking in their communities. Learn more from leading human trafficking response professionals on your role as a health care professional and how your organization can prepare and create systems that can help combat human trafficking.
Session Objectives:
- Examine the complexities of child trafficking and exploitation
- Introduce the role of medical professionals in identifying and assisting victims of human trafficking
- Create understanding of leading practices, policies, and procedures to prepare and create systems to improve the response to victims of human trafficking
- Familiarize with trauma-informed care practices
- Identify local and state resources, as well as reporting procedures and protocols
6 hours of CEUs will be provided for all healthcare & EMS personnel and social workers who complete the full day of training.
